Despatch from the home front

In August 1914,
Mr and Mrs Charles Rennie Mackintosh holidayed
At Walberswick, a sleepy village on the Norfolk coast.
They spent lazy days drawing in ink,
and produced a study of willow herb.

When they returned in 1919,
The world had changed;
So this time they drew larkspur.
